Yes! This course is perfect for Personal Trainers and Fitness Coaches. Understanding the anatomy and forces of running will affect how your train your running clients. Understanding the forces of running will not only enhance your clients running times, but ensure they remain injury free.
Absolutely not. We have all levels of trainers and therapists on our courses and we tailor them so we cover the basics initially and work up to advanced biomechanical knowledge and understanding by the end of the day. The information may begin as a recap for our more experienced delegates, though they often learn something during these recaps! But by the end of the day they are learning new information and being taught how to use it in a very different way.
The course starts at 10am and finishes at 5pm. We pack a huge amount into the day so request that people arrive on time or even early if they can.
All our workshops are highly practical and this one is no exception. You do not need to be a runner to complete this course, nor do you need to run if you don’t want to.
The delegates use each other to assess running so there will always be someone you can use when assessing the gait.
We don’t use treadmills to assess Running. Running on a treadmill is very different to running in the real world. Most practitioners don’t have access to a treadmill. We therefore show you how to assess runners in the street, in the park, on any short piece of outdoor space you may have.
We don’t run this exact course online, but we do have online Webinars that cover a lot of the theory presented on this course. To access these go to this page where you can view and download the webinars.
Our courses are accredited by The Bowen Association
They are also recognised by the Sports Therapy Association.
